Welcome to Beaking Chains and Strengthening Bonds!

I am greater than the sum of my parts, including my past. I have a mess, and now it is becoming my message. I have grown spiritually from my experiences and I have an overwhelming desire to get out there and share what I have learned (it's more like I've got a size 13 stuck in my you-know-where - thanks Kirk).
Because of this, I have started teaching a class called "Breaking Chains and Strengthening Bonds." This class is geared toward those who are fighting the addiction of pornography (addicts and loved ones alike) and who want to strengthen the bonds of fidelity that hold marriages together. I have read that statistically, there is a 50% divorce rate. Honestly, in my experience, that number is greater. And the percentage of marriages that I know of that have or are currently fighting this battle is even higher. In a 2005 poll published by R. Albert Mohler, Jr., 70% of men 18-24 visit pornographic sites in a typical month. This statistic doesn't mention how frequently these sites are visited, nor does it mention anyone outside that age range or gender. If you are not addicted, I'm sure you have at least been exposed. My dear husbands first exposure occurred when he was five. Five! My daughter is almost six, and I'm willing to bet she has already been exposed. The question is not weather or not you will be exposed to pornography, but when, and what are you going to do about it? Do you have the tools to battle pornography in your own life? Do you understand that is a war worth fighting? Do you have the confidence that it can be won?
Starting tonight at 6PM, My husband and I are teaching a class called "Breaking Chains and Strengthening Bonds." It is our deepest desire that through this class, we can help others and create a network of support for those who are fighting on our side against pornography and its bitterly brutal and spiraling effects. The war is raging, it has been since the very beginning. It's going to get worse before it gets better, but we will win. What side will you be on when the war is over?
